This is titled Women as Decoration by Emily Burbank. This is from Anicent Egypt. This reminds me how in class the picture of the two egyptians standing up was almost the same height. That pioctured show that women were just as important as men were.
This image also shows how very equal women and men were to each other. It shows how women played a big part in the ruling of egypt. The women has very good posture and this statue is crafted very good and everything is almost symmetrical to the men statue. Both figures in this picture arfe postion to be of high athority.

  1. So....is it ancient Egyptian, or is it contemporary? Who is "Emily Burbank" (obviously not an ancient Egyptian name) and "Women as Decoration" is hardly an Egyptian title, either. Until you clear up the origin and intention of the work, your analysis cannot be assessed.

  2. I just googled Emily Burbank, and discovered that she published a book called "Woman as Decoration" in 1917. The image you posted is an illustration from that book, actually an Egyptian sculpture. You must be more careful about attribution- even in the book illustration caption, it gives no information about date, location, dynasty or the identity of the two figures (which are both female, by the way). I think you could have selecte an image that would have made your point more solidly.
